A leading infrastructure firm in the UK seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to manage electrical engineering tasks for the HS2 project. You will lead cross-disciplinary teams, ensure compliance with technical standards, and support the commissioning of electrical installations. The ideal candidate will possess a degree in electrical engineering and have extensive experience in complex projects. This role offers a competitive salary with an excellent benefits package.
We are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to manage the technical, design, quality and engineering issues that may arise through the various stages of the HS2 SCS JV from the Electrical Engineering role (or subject matter expert electrical (SME)). The role is responsible for the delivery of the specific headhouse and fitout assets for electrical elements; leading and coordinating all relevant electrical engineering within the headhouse and shafts MEP team. The Electrical Engineering role ensures the works are technically correct, assured, and coordinated between disciplines to facilitate delivery and assurance. They must collaborate closely with all other technical leads and relevant operational leads in Headhouse and Shafts Delivery Unit with the aim of delivering the project to the right quality. This includes close working with AFO and stage 5 design managers. This is a technical management role reporting to the Senior Engineering Headhouse & Shaft MEP.

The role will work on the HS2 project. HS2 is the UK’s new high speed rail network. It will be a catalyst for economic growth across Britain, freeing up space on the existing railways and connecting 8 out of the UK’s 10 biggest cities with fast, reliable and frequent high speed services.
The Skanska | Costain | STRABAG (SCS JV) is delivering the HS2 London Tunnels Contract. Scope of works includes twin‑bored tunnels (TBM), SCL tunnels, shaft sinking, bridge demolition and reconstruction, services diversions, earthworks and the construction of site compounds.
