Job summary

Vital Energi is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our O&M team in London. You will take direct responsibility for day-to-day operation and maintenance of plantrooms across multiple sites, delivering planned preventative and reactive electrical maintenance on renewables and HVAC systems.

Reporting to the Contracts manager, you will install and commission new equipment, support clients, and ensure inspections and documentation meet QHSE standards. Driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• Recognised electrical engineering qualification or time-served.
• Demonstrable electrical maintenance and fault-finding experience covering heating, refrigeration, pumping or similar plantroom equipment.
• Knowledge of Renewable Energy technologies such as Heat Pumps and Solar will be highly advantageous.
• Full UK manual driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Planned Preventative and Reactive Electrical Maintenance for plantrooms and renewable energy systems at a number of high-profile public sector sites in addition to private sector facilities.
• Support with the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
• Provide technical assistance to clients, contractors and work colleagues within sphere of operation and fulfilling customer service requirements while meeting QHSE objectives.
• Ensure statutory and mandatory inspections are satisfactorily carried out and documented in line with the company’s management system.
• Accurately maintaining and submitting relevant documentation and records as required.
• Undertaking subcontractor management where necessary.
• Responding to issues as part of a callout rota.

If so, we’re looking for a Skilled Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our specialist O&M team where you will take direct responsibility for the day-to-day operation and maintenance of a number of Vital Energi’s plantrooms across London.

This position would suit those from an Electrical Maintenance background where they have gained experience with HVAC, Heat Pumps, Refrigeration, Pumping or other similar plantroom equipment, and where they are now at a stage in their career where they’d like to develop their experience at larger and higher-value projects involving a range of conventional and renewable energy systems.

You will be provided with a company van and Fuel Card+ Overtime

The Role

Skills/Experience

• Recognised electrical engineering qualification or time-served

• Forces leavers/Ex-Forces members will transferrable experience are also encouraged to apply
• Knowledge of/experience with Renewable Energy technologies such as Heat Pumps and Solar will be highly advantageous
• Full UK manual driving licence
