Job description

Barocal, a spin-out from the University of Cambridge developing breakthrough cooling and heating technologies. Our technology is based on 15 years of research and may deliver 2-3 times higher energy efficiency compared to traditional systems while eliminating harmful refrigerant gases. Tasks

• Design & Development: Develop electrical systems and components for experimental and prototype hardware


• Testing & Validation: Measure and evaluate electrical performance using lab instrumentation and data acquisition tools


• Embedded Systems: Develop and implement basic embedded control logic


• System Integration: Collaborate with mechanical, thermal, and product engineers to ensure effective integration of electrical systems within the overall platform


• Prototyping Support: Assemble, test and troubleshoot early-stage lab and field prototypes


• Documentation: Maintain technical records and assist in communicating design intent, test results, and system behaviour

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline from a top-tier university. A PhD in a related field is a plus


• Experience: 3+ years experience, preferably within the HVAC, automotive, or energy sectors
