Job summary

Winthrop Technologies Ltd. is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our project team in Blyth, United Kingdom. The role focuses on safely delivering electrical works on schedule and in line with project specifications.

You will coordinate with subcontractors, review drawings, support QA/QC, and help manage documentation. A bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and at least 3 years in electrical construction are required; data centre experience is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 3+ years’ experience in electrical construction.
• Experience with power distribution, lighting, and related services.
• Strong understanding of drawings, specifications and site practices.
• Organised and good communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with project teams and subcontractors.
• Strong technical understanding of electrical systems and installation methods.
• Data centre, industrial or mission-critical project experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver electrical works across the project lifecycle.
• Review drawings, specifications and technical submittals.
• Assist with QA/QC and ensure works meet required standards.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, supervisors and the project team daily.
• Monitor site progress and report programme status to senior engineers.
• Maintain electrical documentation, submittals and safety paperwork.
• Attend Site Meetings, Engineering Reviews and Planning Meetings.
• Liaise with the design team to request and track RFIs.
• Assist with installation checks, inspections and verification on site.
• Support commercial management by tracking variations and progress claims.
• Identify and assist in resolving technical, design and coordination issues.
• Assist with close-out of electrical snagging items.

We are currently seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our project team in Blyth, United Kingdom. This role will be responsible for supporting the delivery of Electrical works, ensuring activities are carried out safely, on programme, and in accordance with project specifications and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Support the coordination and delivery of Electrical works across the project lifecycle
• Review and interpret drawings, specifications, and technical submittals
• Assist with the implementation of site QA/QC processes and ensure works are completed to required standards
• Coordinate with subcontractors, supervisors, and the wider project team on daily electrical site activities
• Monitor site progress and report on programme status to senior engineers and management
• Ensure all electrical documentation, including technical submittals and safety documentation, is maintained and up to date
• Attend Site Meetings, Engineering Reviews, and Planning Meetings
• Liaise with the design team to request and track construction information (RFIs)
• Assist with installation checks, inspections, and verification of electrical systems on site
• Support commercial management by tracking variations and assisting with progress claimsIdentify and assist in resolving technical, design, and coordination issues

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or similar discipline

• Good understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and site practices
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within a project team and coordinate with subcontractors
• Strong technical understanding of electrical systems and installation methodologies
• Experience in data centre, industrial, or mission‑critical projects is advantageous
