Salary and Working Conditions

The salary for this role is £40,409 (inclusive of a Market Premium Payment (MPP)). Onsite working is expected for 3 days a week; flexible working can be requested.

Job Location

Culham, Oxfordshire.

Role Overview

The role requires employees to complete an online Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS), including The Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) checks for criminal convictions.

As an Electrical/Electronics Technician, you will manage the electrical plant maintenance strategy and test and inspection programme on the site power distribution network within UKAEA operational facilities. You'll integrate planned maintenance activities with reactive or corrective maintenance arising from breakdowns or faults, ensuring effective resolution of issues. You'll also advise on the electrical design of equipment to ensure compliance with legislation and codes of practice, consulting with a Subject Matter Expert as needed.

Additional Responsibilities
  • Ensure Preventative Maintenance records are accurate, complete, and stored in accordance with UKAEA policy, maintaining data integrity and accessibility.
  • Continuously evaluate and refine maintenance planning processes, seeking opportunities to enhance efficiency, reliability, and compliance.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of maintenance plans, schedules, and activities, generating regular reports to track progress and compliance.
  • Provide guidance and support to team members on CMMS utilisation and maintenance planning processes, fostering skill development and proficiency.
