Overview

This is your chance to work for a cutting-edge engineering business who supply solutions to some of the world's leading high-tech manufacturers. This role will report directly to the Operations Director and forms a key part of the Engineering Team.

Responsibilities

• The successful candidate will be tasked with managing a small team of electrical and electronic design engineers, ensuring adherence to process and effective cross-departmental communication.
• The team designs bespoke test solutions from customer engineering requirements that can be manufactured within time and cost constraints, using both commercial off-the-shelf components and custom designed interfaces.
• Direct project work including the creation of electronic and electrical schematics, layouts, PCB layouts, general assemblies and fault finding to enable the manufacturing team to realise designs.
• Design and engineer a wide range of bespoke products to deliver high-quality engineered solutions for customers.
• Candidates must have a history of success in similar roles, be self-motivated and have a passion for engineering and delivering projects on time.

• Previous experience in an electrical design role.

Desirable Criteria

• Experience with microcontrollers
• Previous experience of working within one of the following - Aerospace, Defence, Oil & Gas, Automotive or similar industry
• Proven track record of designing bespoke test equipment
