We are seeking a Principal EC&I Engineer to lead high-impact projects, shape technical solutions and guide a team of engineers delivering complex systems into regulated environments.
£45000 -£60000+Hybrid Working. Flexi-Time, Early Finish Friday

Translate high-level design inputs into practical, safe, and cost-effective engineering solutions.
Lead and manage a team of EC&I engineers and designers to deliver projects on time and within budget.
Oversee the creation and verification of key design deliverables : Schematics, GA drawings, cable schedules, FDS, software documentation, test plans etc.
Interface coordination with other engineering disciplines and external stakeholders.
Contribute to and / or lead HAZOPs, design reviews, and safety assessments.
Ensure compliance with UK H&S legislation, relevant design standards, and internal quality systems.
Identify and specify third-party equipment, liaising with procurement and supply chain.
Work closely with manufacturing, test, and commissioning teams to ensure delivery excellence.
Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
Chartered Engineer (CEng) status or actively working towards (IET preferred).
Extensive experience in electrical / control engineering in highly regulated industries – nuclear experience is beneficial.
Demonstrable leadership in managing multi-disciplinary engineering teams.
Strong understanding of industry standards – knowledge of IEC 61508 is a plus.
Methodical and detail-driven, with a passion for producing safe and fit-for-purpose designs.
