Job summary

James Fisher and Sons plc seeks an Electrical Engineer to design and support the JFD product range from Westhill, Aberdeen. You will contribute to new product design and upgrade field equipment, coordinating with sales, procurement and production to deliver robust solutions.

Ideal candidates will have proven electrical/electronics design skills, CAD/PLM proficiency, and experience meeting marine and defence standards.

• Proven electrical and electronics design experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering design input to new products and support existing product range.
• Liaise with sales, procurement and production to deliver technical solutions.
• Source components, create part numbers and BOMs.
• Create engineering documentation such as specifications, proposals, assembly instructions, test procedures and reports.
• Check electrical drawings, ensure compliance with standards and regulations.
• Ensure solutions are delivered on time and within budget.
• Site visits to other offices and client assets.
• Act as technical checker of drawings and documentation.
