Electrical Design Engineer – Stockport

In this role you’ll work closely with production, sales, and documentation teams, supporting projects from concept through to completion.

What will you be doing as an Electrical Design Engineer?
  • Designing and developing electrical systems to meet customer and project specifications
  • Reviewing and interpreting client technical standards and documentation
  • Producing and maintaining 2D CAD drawings and datasheets
  • Approving technical quotations and supporting tender packages
  • Supporting production and procurement teams during manufacturing
  • Assisting the sales and documentation teams with technical queries
  • Identifying cost‑saving opportunities and driving continuous improvement across projects
  • Ensuring all electrical design work complies with relevant standards and directives (BS 7671, ATEX, IEC-– phone number removed)
What do you need?
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering (or similar)
  • Previous experience in an electrical design or engineering role
  • Experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
  • Understanding of electrical schematics, LV systems, control panels, and instrumentation
  • Knowledge of ATEX / IECEx standards and electrical safety compliance
