About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Electrical Design Engineer to join a growing engineering and manufacturing team. You’ll design and develop LV electrical systems, control panels. This role offers the chance to lead a small team of junior engineers and work on exciting, fast-paced projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor junior engineers and apprentices.
• Design LV electrical systems.
• Produce schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation using EPLAN Electric P8 and Pro Panel.
• Select components and materials balancing efficiency, reliability, and cost.
• Work with mechanical engineers and project managers to integrate electrical systems.
• Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and support procurement.
• Provide technical support to the production team and resolve design issues.
• Maintain clear design documentation and stay updated on industry developments.

Skills & Experience

• HNC/HND or Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
• EPLAN proficiency – essential.
• 5+ years’ electrical design experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in panel design/manufacturing is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of LV power systems and relevant standards (IEEE, IEC, BS EN 61349).
