Job summary

A leading energy recruitment company is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer for a contract role in Manchester. The ideal candidate will have proficiency with Autocad Light and the capability to design earthing systems to British standards. This is an exciting opportunity to work within the Power industry, offering a competitive rate of £31-£34 per hour Outside IR35.

Qualifications

• Proficient with Autocad Light (Autocad LT).
• Capability to review existing and design additional earthing systems to BS7671 and BS7430 standards.
• Strong ability to produce Block Cable designs, Loop diagrams and switchboard schematics.

Responsibilities

• Work on Electrical Design projects.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Collaborate with other engineering disciplines.

Skills

Proficient with Autocad Light

Familiar with Trimble

Familiar with Amtech

Familiar with Pro Design

Ability to review earthing systems

Strong ability to produce Block Cable designs

Strong ability to produce Loop diagrams

Strong ability to produce switchboard schematics

Electrical Design Engineer

Manchester

£31-£34 per hour Outside IR35

4 month initial contract

Essential Skillset

• Proficient with Autocad Light (Autocad LT)
• Familiar with the use of Trimble, Amtech or Pro Design
• Capability to review existing and design additional earthing systems to BS7671 and BS7430 standards
• Strong ability to produce Block Cable designs, Loop diagrams and switchboard schematics

Desirable Skillset

• Familiarity with Electrical Protection Systems
• Working experience within the Power industry - Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) or Combined Heat and Power (CHP)
