Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL is recruiting an Electrical Design Engineer in the UK. The role involves 70% office design and 30% field support across UK & Europe, with 40-hour weeks.

The ideal candidate has PLC/HMI programming skills across Siemens, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi or Omron, plus a relevant electrical qualification and about two years’ experience with robotic machinery. Salary £45K-£50K negotiable plus benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and programming PLC/HMI systems.

• Two years in a similar role with robotic machinery knowledge.
• Qualified electrical engineering certification (NVQ 3, HND, 18th edition).

• Upgrade and modify existing control systems per specification.
• Assist with on-site installations and commissioning.
• Provide remote and on-site technical support for customers and field engineers.

Our client is an established manufacturer of special purpose machinery and due to their continued success Staffbase have been appointed to recruit for the position of Electrical Design Engineer.

Salary £45K - £50K Negotiable + Benefits

The successful candidate will be an experienced Electrical Design Engineer with good plc skills.
Time will be split 70% in office design and 30% working in the field supporting installs commissioning etc. etc UK & Europe.

The Role:

Duties will include but is not limited to the following;

• Design and develop new software controls from customer requirements
• Upgrade and modify existing control systems in accordance with specification
• Assist with on-site installations and commissioning
• Provide remote and onsite technical support for customers and field engineers
• plc & HMI programming
• Undertake project work as and when required

Candidate:

The Electrical Design Engineer will have excellent PLC/HMI programming skills with knowledge of either Siemens, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi or Omron plc software. You will have at least two years experience in a similar role and ideally you will have a good knowledge and understanding of robotic machinery.

You will have a recognised qualification in electrical engineering e.g. NVQ 3, HND, 18th edition.

Hours of Work:

Monday to Friday 40 hrs
