Job summary

Vertical Recruitment Limited is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join its Nottingham team on a permanent, full-time basis. The role involves designing electrical systems across educational, healthcare, commercial, and industrial sectors within a multidisciplinary engineering group.

Qualifications

• Electrical building services design experience within a consultancy or similar environment.
• A degree, HNC, HND or equivalent qualification in electrical or building services engineering.
• Knowledge of British Standards, Building Regulations and relevant industry guidance.

Responsibilities

• Design LV distribution, lighting, small power, fire alarm and security systems
• Produce calculations, specifications, reports and coordinated design information
• Prepare electrical load assessments and utility connection applications
• Deliver projects across RIBA Stages 0-5
• Coordinate designs with mechanical engineers, Revit technicians and external project teams
• Attend client meetings, design-team meetings, site surveys and inspections
• Review drawings and technical submissions during construction
