Job summary

Arcadis is seeking an Electrical Engineer with experience designing electrical systems within buildings to join our Places Design Practice in Manchester. You will deliver elegant and efficient electrical design solutions on projects across sectors including Industrial Manufacturing, Defence and Education.

You will work with a multi-discipline Arcadian team to ensure integration of the overall design, preparing drawings, specifications and reports while meeting budget, timeframe and quality

Qualifications

• A BSc/BEng or MSc/MEng in Electrical Engineering or similar
• Evidence that you’re working towards becoming a Chartered Engineer (CEng)
• Previous relevant experience in a similar role designing electrical systems within buildings
• An understanding of the design of individual elements of a project and how it interfaces with the client

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate drawings, specifications, reports and other project documentation, and ensure allocated activities are completed within budget, timeframe and quality objectives
• Collaborate with a multi-discipline team to ensure integration of the overall design or solution
• Apply analytical, technical writing and design skills at project level and contribute to resolving technical issues under supervision of a Senior Engineer

Education

BSc/BEng or MSc/MEng in Electrical Engineering or similar
