Electrical Design Engineer

50,000 – 55,000 per annum
East Yorkshire (with International travels)

They have an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Design Engineer to join their team. This position is well–suited to a detail–oriented and proactive person who is looking to develop high–quality designs that drive operational excellence and customer satisfaction.

This position is based in the Engineering department and reports to the Engineering Manager. You will design and develop electrical systems for automation equipment, ensure compliance with industry standards, and collaborate with cross–functional teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

• Produce electrical schematics, layouts, and documentation for automation systems.
• Collaborate with mechanical and software engineers to integrate electrical designs.
• Support installation, testing, and commissioning of equipment.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant standards and safety regulations.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Electrical Design Engineer within automation, materials handling, or similar industries.
• Proficiency in electrical CAD software (e.g., EPLAN or AutoCAD Electrical).
• Strong knowledge of electrical standards and safety regulations.
• Excellent problem–solving and communication skills.
