Job summary

The role involves designing and assuring LV electrical systems for critical transport infrastructure. Qualifications

Overview

Are you an electrical design engineer with experience on LV Rail renewals?

Have you worked on London Underground electrical infrastructure?

Location: London – Stratford – hybrid

Rate: 450 per day – (Inside IR35)

Contract length: Ongoing

My client is looking for an electrical design engineer to join their APCD electrical team. You will play a key role in the design, review, and assurance of electrical systems that power some of the most complex and critical transport infrastructure in the UK.

This position offers the opportunity to contribute to a wide range of projects, including Station and Depot renewals, Fleet Enabling, and Platform Train Interface (PTI) upgrades.

Responsibilities

• Deliver LV electrical designs in line with LU standards and specifications.
• Review and assure designs produced by third parties.
• Provide on‑site assurance and technical support during installation and commissioning.
• Work collaboratively with multi‑disciplinary teams across the LU Renewals and Enhancements portfolio.

Essential Requirements
