Job description

Electrical Design Engineer

Peterborough

£40.00ph

Remote - 40 Hour Week

Onsite visit will be required for Concept &Commissioning.

Initial 3 Months contract

Our client provides complete turnkey solutions for process plants. Services include site surveys, full plant design, and the manufacture of equipment. They manage the entire project from installation through to commissioning. In addition to offering after-sales service contracts and maintenance support, they have a dedicated Software & Systems team that delivers control systems (PLC & SCADA) to both process and non-process sectors. The company also specialises in compliance engineering, asset care, and asset management.

The role of Electrical Design Engineer will involve the following

• Generate panel layouts and bills of materials.
• LV distribution and cable calculations.
• Generating electrical control schematic diagrams.
• Generating instrument loop diagrams/cable block diagrams.
• Generating PLC wiring diagrams and I/O schedules.
• Machinery safety circuit design and risk assessments to BS EN ISO 13849/60261.
• Preparation of supporting technical & installation documents.
• Liaise with site teams to meet project deadlines.
• Participate in project commissioning & safety validation.
• Work in a safe and sustainable way.
• You will also have to visit various sites potentially a few times a month.
• Must have own AutoCAD licence.
• Install of new and old modification.

Experience in the following

• Electrical Design experience with Control Panels and Control Panel Modification
• Use of AutoCAD
• Experience within the food industry or within Engineering.

Qualification Required

• Electrical apprenticeship or qualification served 18^th Edition
