Job summary

A leading company in the Building Services industry is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to work on exciting projects in Nottingham. You will prepare electrical designs, liaise with clients, and collaborate on innovative solutions. The ideal candidate has a HNC/BEng in Electrical Engineering, over 3 years of relevant experience, and strong proficiency in AutoCAD and other design tools. This is a permanent position offering a salary of £40,000 - £60,000 per annum depending on experience.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of industry experience in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of BS7671.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Electrical Designs using a range of software.
• Provide new solutions for electrical services within buildings.

My client works in the Building Services industry, and they are looking to take on an Electrical Design Engineer, on a permanent basis.

AutoCAD – Design Engineering – Dialux – Relux – Amtech – Building Services – Amtech – Emergency Lighting & Fire Alarm Design

The Electrical Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

· HNC / BEng or the equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Building Services or similar

· 3 years’ or more of industry experience working in similar Electrical role or within Building Services

· Good knowledge and understanding of BS7671

· Excellent knowledge and proficiency using AutoCAD software ideally for design

· Experience and knowledge of Dialux, Relux, Amtech and/or Hevacomp

· Be self-motivated with excellent attention to detail

· Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written

· Full UK Driving Licence

The Electrical Design Engineer role will involve:

· Working on a range of exciting projects

· Providing new solutions for electrical services within buildings

· Preparing Electrical Designs using a range of software

· Preparing tender documentation, calculations and specifications for electrical services

· Preparing specifications, equipment schedules, drawing and information to installation and fully coordinated standards

· Liaising with Clients and Contractors

· Working with the Mechanical and Energy Engineers to produce design solutions

· Attending design and project meetings
