Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Manchester is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to enhance their team. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Electrical Engineering, experience in electrical design, and proficiency with CAD software. Responsibilities include producing design specifications and liaising with clients. A competitive salary of £35,000–£45,000 per annum is offered based on experience.

Qualifications

• Degree or similar qualification in Electrical Engineering.
• Previous experience in electrical design.
• Experience in a Controls and Automation environment.

Responsibilities

• Work within the existing multi-disciplinary engineering team.
• Produce detailed design specifications for control systems.
• Liaise directly with customers as part of the projects.

Salary– 35,000 – 45,000 per annum (dependent on experience, please advise)

Location– Manchester

My client work within engineering and automation and they are looking to take on an Electrical Design Engineer to develop as part of their team.

The Electrical Design Engineer role will ideally have the following attributes:

• Apprenticeship / HNC/ HND / BTEC / City & Guilds / Degree qualification or similar in Electrical Engineering
• Have previous experience carrying out electrical design
• Have experience in a Controls and Automation environment
• Proficiency with CAD software such as AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, EPlan or SolidWorks Electrical
• Excellent problem solving capabilities
• Be able to work well individually as well as part of a team
• Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written

The Electrical Design Engineer role will involve:

• Working within the existing multi–disciplinary engineering team
• Producing detailed design specifications for control systems
• Producing test specifications as required
• Liaising directly with customers as part of the projects
