Job summary

RSE is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join our Treatment Solutions team on a permanent basis. You will take a leading role in scoping and detailed design through to implementation for water sector projects, working with a multidisciplinary team.

The ideal candidate holds a Degree in Electrical Engineering, knowledge of British and European design standards, and has a proven track record as a Trainee/Assistant Electrical Engineer or completed a Graduate Training programme in both design

• Proven trainee/assistant electrical engineer experience or completed graduate training in design office and construction in water industry.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Developing electrical and instrumentation/control concepts and detailed designs.
• Close liaison with multi-disciplinary engineering teams.
• Participating in safety studies (Hazop) and related reviews.
• Supporting EICA engineering input to and review of MCC, PLC, and instrumentation solutions from suppliers.
• Collaborating with in-house construction and commissioning teams to deliver high-quality client solutions.

What Are We Looking For?

Owing to continued sustainable growth, our Treatment Solutions business platform is looking for an Electrical Design Engineer to join us on a permanent basis, and work as part of our in‑house, multidisciplinary design team. You will take on a fully supported leading role in all aspects of projects, from scoping and detailed design through to implementation, working with a multi‑disciplinary team to service the needs of the Water sector.

As part of industry-leading multi-disciplined project teams, some of your key responsibilities will include:

• Developing industry leading electrical and instrumentation/control concept and detailed designs.
• Close liaison across our multi-disciplined engineering teams.
• Participating in safety studies (Hazop) etc.
• Supporting the EICA engineering input to and review of design solutions for MCC, PLC and instrumentation from suppliers both within and out with the RSE group.
• Working with our in‑house construction and commissioning teams to ensure we deliver a high‑quality solution to our clients.

What Do You Need?

• Degree/HND/HNC in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Knowledge of British and European design standards.
• A passion to succeed and develop your career
• A proven track record as a Trainee or Assistant Electrical Engineer, or completion of a Graduate Training programme post degree in both a design office and a construction environment within the water (or related process) industry.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
