Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Greater Manchester is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience in electrical design and proficiency with CAD software such as AutoCAD and EPlan. Responsibilities include producing design specifications and liaising with customers. This permanent position offers a salary ranging from £35,000 to £45,000 per annum, dependent on experience.

• Experience in a Controls and Automation environment is essential.

My client work within engineering and automation and they are looking to take on an Electrical Design Engineer to develop as part of their team.

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship / HNC / HND / BTEC / City & Guilds / Degree qualification or similar in Electrical Engineering
• Have previous experience carrying out electrical design
• Have experience in a Controls and Automation environment
• Proficiency with CAD software such as AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, EPlan or SolidWorks Electrical
• Excellent problem solving capabilities
• Be able to work well individually as well as part of a team
• Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written

Responsibilities

• Working within the existing multi-disciplinary engineering team
• Producing detailed design specifications for control systems
• Producing test specifications as required
• Liaising directly with customers as part of the projects
