Job summary

A switchgear device manufacturer in Dartford seeks an Electrical Project Engineer to manage projects from conception to completion. Responsibilities include developing control panel layouts, ensuring compliance with specifications, and client liaison. The ideal candidate will hold a professional qualification in Electrical Engineering, possess strong communication and leadership skills, and have experience with LV switchgear. Qualifications

Job description

Techniche Global are supporting a switchgear device manufacturer to appoint an Electrical Project Engineer.

Salary: GBP40–45k per annum

Location: Dartford – 100% onsite

Duration: permanent, full‑time

Requirements: LRTW

Job Type: Monday to Friday 8.00am to 4.30pm

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage projects from sales handover to project completion, ensuring specifications, timelines, and budget constraints are met.
  • Develop control panel / switchgear arrangements & products by studying customer requirements.
  • Ensuring correct selection of components from suppliers that meet with suitability, availability and budget targets.
  • Overseeing of product design and build stage through to installation and commissioning.
  • Integrate with production manager for factory production scheduling
  • li>Liaise with suppliers ensuring adherence to project schedules.
  • Liaise with clients, attending client site meeting, leading client FAT and SAT.
  • Producing Method Statements and Risk Assessments for onsite installations
Requirements
  • Professional qualification(s) in Electrical Engineering
  • Able to read, interpret and follow engineering drawings
  • Working knowledge of LV installations, HV an advantage
  • Experience in the specification, function and manufacture of LV switchgear, HV an advantage
  • Good knowledge and understanding of relevant standards
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong command of the English Language
  • Knowledge and experience of ePlan and CAD packages an advantage
