Electrical Control Engineer

The Electrical Control Engineer is responsible for assembling and wiring electrical control panels based on schematics and company standards. This hands‑on role involves both electrical and mechanical work and requires significant experience with control system design and PLC/HMI programming. The ideal candidate will also assist in system troubleshooting and testing.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Lead or contribute to control system design, vision systems programming, and testing
  • Assemble and wire electrical control panels using point‑to‑point wiring
  • Mount enclosures, drill, tap, and punch holes in panels
  • Wire equipment and assist with system startup, checkout, and troubleshooting
  • Perform functional, high‑voltage, and continuity tests using standard instruments
  • Identify and report defective materials or questionable conditions
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety guidelines
  • Follow manufacturing schedules with minimal supervision
  • Support continuous improvement and workspace organization efforts
Qualifications

Required:

  • 10–15 years of experience in control panel assembly, electrical design, and PLC/HMI programming
  • Strong proficiency in interpreting and creating electrical schematics
  • Proven experience with designing and programming industrial automation systems
  • Experience with Codesys programming environment
  • Background in machine automation or custom equipment design
Skills
  • Proficient in electrical panel layout and component selection
  • Familiarity with UL standards and industrial control panel safety regulations
