The ideal candidate will have strong electrical systems knowledge, experience with control systems, and a full UK driving license.   • Proficient in calibrating, maintaining, and troubleshooting sensors and transmitters.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical equipment and systems.
  • Read and interpret electrical diagrams and schematics.
  • Perform routine inspections and testing of electrical systems.
  • Calibrate control systems for optimal performance.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot control systems including PLCs, SCADA, and DCS.
  • Install and maintain instruments for measuring variables.

Where will you be working?

We help our clients safeguard the water supply, improve environmental performance and manage demand for future generations. We enhance and extend asset life, ensuring compliance with water quality and environmental standards. We're problem solvers with over 140 years of combined experience in engineering and infrastructure.

This role will be within our MEICA and capital maintenance team. Our Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control & Automation (MEICA) experts offer a one‑stop solution, including ongoing operation and maintenance services.

Key Responsibilities / What you'll be doing
  • You’ll Install maintain and repair electrical equipment and systems.
  • You’ll read and interpret electrical diagrams and schematics.
  • You will be able to perform routine inspections and testing of electrical systems to ensure safety compliance.
  • You’ll Calibrate control systems for optimal performance.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot control systems including PLCs, SCADA, DCS.
  • Ensure instrumentation systems operate accurately and reliably.
  • You’ll Install, calibrate and maintain instruments used to measure variables such as pressure, flow, temperature and level.
What you'll bring
  • Full UK Driving License
  • Electrical systems knowledge, with a strong understanding of wiring, motors, circuits and distribution systems.
  • Proficient in calibrating, maintaining and trouble shooting sensors, transmitters and control valves.
  • Control systems knowledge.
