Job summary

Ongo Recruitment Limited is seeking an Electrical Contracts Manager to take full commercial and operational responsibility for the electrical division, from enquiry through to final account. The role focuses on securing new work, delivering profitable quotations and ensuring projects are delivered safely, compliantly and on time.

You will lead a growing team across electrical services including commercial works, testing and inspection, solar PV, EV charging and battery storage, combining strong

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing electrical contracts from enquiry to completion.
• Strong commercial awareness with margin and cost-control focus.
• Experience in renewables: solar PV, EV charging, battery storage.
• Qualified in electrical installations (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
• SSSTS or SMSTS desirable.
• Proficient with MS Office and quoting software.

Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new commercial opportunities within electrical and renewables markets.
• Prepare detailed, accurate quotations and surveys.
• Lead client meetings and build long-term relationships.
• Ensure projects delivered on time, within budgets and margins.
• Manage variations, valuations, payments, and final accounts.
• Define RAMS and ensure health & safety compliance.
