Qualifications

  • Relevant Electrical Qualifications.
  • ECS Black Card holder.
  • SMSTS, IOSH, NEBOSH certified.
  • Project management qualifications (PRINCE2, PMP) desirable.
  • Extensive experience managing large-scale electrical projects in commercial settings.
  • Proven track record delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, standards, and UK regulations.
  • Competency in financial management and reporting.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software.
  • Experience working with Sage accounting advantageous.

  • Develop detailed project plans, including budgets, schedules, and resource allocation.
  • Lead and manage project teams, including engineers and subcontractors.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and health/safety standards.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Act as main point of contact for client communication.
  • Ensure work complies with relevant electrical codes and UK regulations.
  • Conduct quality control checks to maintain high standards.
  • Prepare and manage budgets, cost forecasts, and financial reports.
  • Identify cost savings and efficiency improvements.
  • Assist in securing new contracts through tenders and proposals.
  • Maintain knowledge of market trends and competitor activities.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of electrical contracts, ensuring all deadlines and financial targets are met.
  • Develop detailed project plans, including budgets, schedules, and resource allocation.
  • Lead, motivate, and manage project teams, including engineers, subcontractors, and site staff.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and ensure adherence to health and safety standards.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and stakeholders.
  • Act as the main point of contact for client communication, resolving issues promptly.
  • Ensure all work complies with relevant electrical codes, safety standards, and UK regulations (e.g., BS 7671, IET Wiring Regulations).
  • Conduct regular quality control checks and audits to maintain high standards.
  • Prepare and manage budgets, cost forecasts, and financial reports for contracts.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
  • Assist in securing new contracts by contributing to tenders, bids, and proposals.
  • Maintain knowledge of market trends and competitor activities.
