The Opportunity

We’re looking for an Electrical Design Engineer at intermediate level to join our growing building services team. This is an opportunity to design and deliver sustainable, efficient and innovative electrical systems that enhance the performance and safety of diverse environments. You’ll be involved in every stage of the project lifecycle—from feasibility studies and detailed design to completion—working closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop high‑quality engineering solutions that make a tangible difference across a range of sectors including healthcare, industrial, data centres and commercial.

You’ll support the production of detailed designs, perform calculations and ensure compliance with relevant standards (e.g., BS 7671). You’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and contribute to practical, energy‑efficient solutions. Additionally, you will contribute to the ongoing digital transformation of our business, exploring innovative ways to enhance efficiency through automation and expanding our service offerings through an integrated, digital‑first approach to design.

We welcome applicants from related backgrounds, including those with experience in power systems or fire systems engineering. Your skills are highly transferable, and we offer support to help you transition into building services.

Is this role right for you?
  • Has a degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or equivalent & is working towards chartership or is keen to work for a company who will support you through the chartership journey (IET/CIBSE).
  • Has a demonstrable background in the field of electrical building services design from first principles, including the design of HV, LV systems, lighting and lighting controls, fire alarm systems, security & access control, renewable energy electrical design, and earthing across a diverse range of project types.
  • Is proficient in BIM environments, particularly using Revit, and has experience with design software packages such as ProDesign/Dialux, SKM/ETAP, Amtech (Trimble).
  • Has the ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams and communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders.
