Job summary

Adecco Group UK & Ireland is seeking a proactive Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer for a permanent, full-time role in Tyne & Wear. The position operates on a rotating shift pattern (Earlies and Lates) with overtime and a competitive benefits package.

You will maintain manufacturing equipment through PPM and reactive fault finding, read engineering drawings, and contribute to continuous improvement while working closely with production teams.

Qualifications

• Must have strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Proactive and flexible approach to problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventive maintenance across manufacturing equipment.
• Diagnose and rectify electrical and mechanical faults.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and minimise downtime.
• Support maintenance activities across production machinery and site assets.
• Assist with equipment upgrades and improvement projects.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to increase reliability and efficiency.
• Work collaboratively with production and operations teams.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with procedures.
