Job Type: Full-time - Nights (Monday-Thursday 7pm-7am)

We are seeking a proactive and skilled electrical bias Maintenance engineer to join a Blackburn based Manufacturer who are currently experiencing major growth.

This role is essential for maintaining and optimising production machinery within a successful manufacturing environment, ensuring safe, efficient, and continuous operations. If you thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing setting and are passionate about problem-solving, preventative maintenance, and continuous improvement, this is the perfect opportunity for you.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Act as the first responder to equipment breakdowns, diagnosing faults and recording details in the CMMS.
  • Collaborate with shift crews and day teams to resolve issues, ensuring smooth handover of unresolved breakdowns across shifts.
  • Execute assigned routines such as motor checks, HMI programming, and maintenance of panel cooling units.
  • Respond to electrical/control system faults and carry out effective repairs.
  • Log all activities and labour time in the Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) system.
  • Set up machines to maximise output while maintaining safety systems.
  • Prepare detailed shift reports with technical recommendations.
  • Attend shift handovers and highlight training needs.
  • Promote operator engagement with EAM work requests.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering.
  • 2-3 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in reading electrical diagrams and using diagnostic instruments.
  • Skilled in motor control systems, drives, sensors, and PLC I/O checks.
  • Capability to work independently with minimal supervision.
