Job summary

Babcock International, based in Chippenham, Wiltshire, is seeking an Electrical and Avionics Technician to train military personnel in electrical systems. You’ll deliver high-quality training and support the development of engineers within a dynamic defence environment.

This full-time position focuses on safety, modern teaching methods, and keeping course materials up-to-date while contributing to national security and operational readiness. Security clearance (SC) is required.

Qualifications

• HND in a relevant engineering discipline (e.g. general electronics and electrical systems).
• Experience supervising in a technical or engineering setting.
• Experience with electromechanical equipment.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and delivering electrical training sessions using modern teaching methods and technologies.
• Assessing trainee progress through written and practical evaluations.
• Monitoring trainee development and providing feedback, support, and remedial instruction.
• Ensuring safety, compliance, and equipment accountability within the training environment.
• Maintaining and updating course materials to reflect current equipment and standards.
