Job summary

The Best Connection Group Limited in Dunstable is seeking a Production Operative to support day-to-day production activities and assembly work for electrical distribution boards, surge kits, cable kits, and weatherproof products. You will follow SOPs and quality standards to maintain accuracy and efficiency.

You will perform cable preparation, labeling, packaging, and product finishing, while maintaining records and collaborating with the team to hit daily targets.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of electrical components or willingness to learn (as needed).
• Experience in light manufacturing or electrical assembly is preferred but not essential.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instruction.

Responsibilities

• Assemble products (Defenders, kits, enclosures) as per BOMs and work instructions.
• Carry out cable preparation using wire cutting, stripping, crimping, and heat shrinking.
• Perform basic labelling, packaging, and product finishing tasks.
• Always follow safety and housekeeping practices.
• Maintain production records and update job status sheets.
• Collaborate with supervisor and team to meet daily targets and timelines.
• Report faults, damages, or quality concerns immediately.
