Babergh and Mid‑Suffolk District Councils have been through an exciting period of change, with the creation of a new Compliance Team within our Housing Directorate. This new role will oversee the planned heating and electrical upgrades to our domestic housing stock as well as to our corporate properties. The role sits in the Compliance Department and is responsible for the management of the asset information, contract management, planned installation works, administration of property investment data and tenant engagement. Reporting to the Compliance Manager you will lead on the operational delivery of the planned installation works programme of Mechanical and Electrical services across our housing and corporate assets. You will ensure that contractors deliver their service in accordance with contractual requirements and in line with the Building Safety Act so that we meet our statutory and regulatory obligations.
We work in a hybrid way, with a mix of office, home and remote based working (business need permitting). Our hybrid working arrangements support flexibility and collaboration, helping our teams to thrive.
A full valid driving licence and access to own vehicle is essential as you will be required to make site visits in a large rural area.
