Job description
Electrical & Instrumentation Technician

Location: Disley

Salary: £55,000

Hours: 2 days, 2 nights, 4 off (×7), followed by 18 days off

What You’ll Be Doing

Keeping the site running smoothly with preventative and reactive electrical maintenance.

Troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems, including 3-phase AC, motors, pumps, conveyors, and fans.

Supporting improvement projects, shutdowns, and machinery upgrades.

Working safely at all times—LOTO, risk assessments, and permit-to-work procedures are key.

Partnering with production to boost reliability and efficiency.

Working with external contractors to complete maintenance tasks safely and effectively.

What We’re Looking For
  • Apprentice trained
  • Strong manufacturing background.
  • Experience with DC motors and drives.
  • Basic mechanical knowledge and the confidence to tackle simple mechanical tasks.
  • Familiarity with DCS / PLC systems for fault finding and routine testing.
  • A proactive, safety-focused problem solver who takes pride in doing things right.
