Job description
Overview

As part of North Tyneside Council's commitment to support the take up of zero emission vehicles, we have an exciting opportunity for a suitably experienced and enthusiastic person to assist in the implementation of electric vehicle charge points infrastructure across the borough. The key objective for this role is to identify and develop new charging point locations across North Tyneside through the following:

Responsibilities
  • feasibility and assessment of installation locations
  • managing land ownership enquiries
  • liaison with internal departments
  • undertaking risk assessments
  • liaison with contractors in the installation process
  • issuing of works orders for infrastructure installations
  • submission of highway permit applications
  • managing and supervising installations on site
  • commissioning of all works
Qualifications

The successful candidate will be qualified to NVQ level 4 or equivalent in a technical discipline, have an understanding of renewable energy issues, electric vehicles and their charging infrastructure, and have experience in project development and delivery.
