Job summary

Finning (UK) Ltd is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead planning, coordination and delivery of high value engineering projects within the electric power sector. You will ensure projects meet cost, quality, safety and compliance standards while driving performance through effective resource management and cross‑functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree (or equivalent) with 5+ years’ relevant project management experience.
• Background in electric power, oil & gas, mechanical/electrical systems or process control equipment.
• Experience managing engineering teams and subcontractors.
• Strong understanding of CDM, HSE and QA systems.
• Skilled in MS Project and Microsoft Office.
• Commercially aware, analytical, customer‑focused and detail‑driven.
• Project management qualifications desirable (PRINCE2, PMP).

Responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end project delivery, ensuring governance, SHEQ standards and contract compliance.
• Manage resources, schedules, risks and budgets across multiple engineering projects.
• Collaborate with sales, customers, engineering and procurement to align delivery plans.
• Support bid development, proof‑of‑concept designs and commercial forecasting.
• Drive continuous improvement and provide leadership to project teams.
