Job summary

Search Consultancy LTD is seeking an experienced Elderly Care Support Worker to join its care homes in Macclesfield and surrounding areas. You will provide compassionate personal care, help with meals, mobility and hygiene, and support residents to live independently with dignity.

The role requires at least 6 months UK-based care experience, strong safeguarding awareness, and ability to administer medications and handle manual tasks safely.

Qualifications

• UK-based care or support experience required.
• Strong safeguarding procedures knowledge.
• Ability to provide 2-year work reference history.
• Experience delivering personal care and medication administration.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care, assist with meals, mobility and hygiene.
• Administer medication in accordance with individual care plans.
• Promote residents' independence and wellbeing.
• Work collaboratively to maintain high standards of care.
• Ensure a safe and supportive environment.
• Respond to safeguarding concerns appropriately.
• Handle emergencies according to established protocols.
• Keep accurate, timely care records.

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum 6 months of UK-based experience in a care or support setting
• Strong understanding of safeguarding procedures
• Confident delivering personal care, medication administration, and manual handling
• Ability to provide a 2-year work reference history
