West Dunbartonshire Council is recruiting Early Learning and Childcare Officers for Whitecrook Centre. The post is part-time, term-time and pro-rata'd to hours worked, with a fixed term to 28 February 2027. The role is peripatetic, with potential relocation between centres per service needs.
Main duties include creating a safe learning environment, delivering the curriculum, planning activities, recording progress, and encouraging parental involvement. PVG membership is required.
This is a part-time, term-time post the salary will be pro-rata'd to the hours worked.

Work Pattern: Week 1: Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, Week 2: Monday and Tuesday.

Successful candidates who are not already registered with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) as practitioners will be required to do so within 3 months of their appointment.
This post is considered a Regulated Role with Children under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2020 and as such membership with the PVG scheme is essential. Further details of this scheme can be found here.
Preferred applicants will be required to become members of the relevant PVG scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer being made by West Dunbartonshire Council.
