Job summary

Simpson Millar Solicitors in Manchester is seeking a solicitor to develop and manage a mixed EL/PL caseload and to advocate where appropriate. You will handle high-value matters and contribute to the growth of the department.

The role requires qualification as a solicitor in England & Wales with current practising certificate and at least 4 years' PQE, plus proven experience in EL/PL and in conducting own advocacy. A proactive approach and client-focused mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be qualified as a Solicitor in England and Wales and hold a current practising certificate.
• Have a minimum of 4 years’ post qualification experience and demonstrated experience in managing an EL/PL caseload.
• Demonstrated experience in conducting own advocacy.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage a mixed caseload of Employers Liability and Public Liability (EL/PL) matters.
• Effectively and efficiently conduct cases on behalf of clients in accordance with the overall policies and objectives of the firm.
• Develop local business to secure referrals.
• Participate in the development, marketing, and success of the department.
