Job title: EL/PL Liability Claims Handler
Location: Completely Remote Home Working
You will be managing Liability claims ranging from minor slips and trips through to establishing third party Liability connected with catastrophic events. The role provides flexible working arrangements and can be completely working from home; there may be some regular regional travel required with occasional overnight stays depending upon location.
Responsibilities
- Support our valued clients in proactively handling and settling a mixed caseload of third party Liability claims, typically up to the value of £100k.
- Establish liability via thorough investigation on each case, whilst providing support and advice on claims issues to policyholders within specified timeframes.
- Manage a portfolio of employers’ liability and public liability claims, with a mixture of investigate and report-only cases and cradle-to-grave processing.
- Develop and maintain client relationships through management and delivery of SLAs and KPIs, and engage in proactive client and broker interaction to assist in efficient claims handling and business development opportunities.
- Liaise with colleagues in different business areas (e.g., Property and Major & Complex Loss) as required, ensuring attention to detail to collate and record statements and evidence for the claims process.
- Remove hurdles in the process where required, take responsibility to resolve problems, and collate all necessary details to support swift settlement or denial where possible.
Qualifications
- Experienced Liability Adjusters. Ideally ACII/LLB or working towards these qualifications; candidates qualified by experience are welcome to apply.
- Proven ability to handle the full range of EL/PL and Product liability claims including claims involving third party property damage.
- Extensive experience in writing investigation reports and strong knowledge of the insurance market.
- Extensive technical knowledge within the adjusting arena and understanding of Client SLA compliance, productivity, and quality requirements.
- Proficient working knowledge of scoping software and handheld device use.
- Good negotiation skills.
