Job summary

Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced EIP CITY Team Leader to oversee a multi-disciplinary team delivering recovery-focused care for individuals with first episode psychosis in Bradford.

You will provide leadership, supervision and strategic direction in collaboration with the senior management team, while maintaining a clear focus on service user outcomes and safety. The post requires working within the Trust's EIP services and values.

Qualifications

• Professional qualification in nursing, social work, occupational therapy or clinical psychology.

EIP CITY Team Leader

An opportunity has come up within the City EIP team for an innovative, motivated and enthusiastic individual with an interest in EIP to join as team leader.

The service is looking for someone with a passion for high quality recovery focused care to play an active role in overseeing and guiding care and support for service users, their families and carers.

The successful applicant will take on leadership responsibilities for an experienced, well-established team of supportive specialist mental health professionals delivering recovery focussed care for individuals with a diagnosis of a first episode psychosis. The successful applicant will provide leadership, managerial and supervisory responsibility to the multi-disciplinary team comprising of nurses, social workers, OT's, Psychological Therapists and support workers. Given the nature of the work, the role involves close networking with colleagues across BDCT and the Bradford locality.

As a team and trust Bradford EIP is committed to supporting staff with regular supervision and offers a culture of learning and ongoing progression to help staff grow. In line with National EIP safer staffing practices, staff caseloads are protected to enable effective high-quality work.

Main duties of the job

The role involves leadership responsibilities for an experienced, well-established team of specialist mental health professionals. The team leader will work closely with the senior management team to creatively shape and guide care to best fit our communities here in Bradford.

Person Specification

Qualifications

• Professional qualification in nursing, social work, occupational therapy or clinical psychology.

Knowledge

• Knowledge of the principles of and the evidence base underpinning EIP
• Knowledge of psychosocial interventions (PSI) and experience of applying psycho-social principles in practice.
• Up to date knowledge of the principles and practice of the Care Programme Approach

Experience

• Extensive experience in a senior care coordinator role with adults, young people and/or children with serious mental health problems.
• Supervisory experience
• Experience of working with people who use/misuse substances.
• Experience of a leadership role in Early intervention
• Experience of working in a specialist psychosis service
• Experience of providing training in PSI (etc.)
• Experience of working with families
