Job summary

Fawkes & Reece Group is seeking an experienced Electrician to join our busy electrical division on a permanent basis. Working from our Wigan offices and covering the Manchester region, you will handle EICRs, testing and remedial works in tenanted and void properties.

You’ll inspect and certify electrical installations, explain findings to customers, and complete paperwork electronically. A valid UK driving license, NVQ/City & Guilds qualifications, and a strong safety mindset are essential for

Qualifications

Must hold a valid Full UK Driving License and be willing to travel across the Manchester region.
Must demonstrate IT literacy for electronic certification and documentation.
Solid understanding of Health & Safety regulations in the workplace.
Qualified with NVQ/City & Guilds relevant to electrical installation and testing.
Experience with EICRs and domestic occupancy scenarios is preferred.

Responsibilities

Undertake Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) in domestic and residential properties.
Inspect and test electrical installations per BS 7671 (18th Edition).
Identify C1, C2, C3 and FI observations accurately.
Complete certification and documentation electronically and accurately.
Explain findings to customers professionally.
Complete remedial works identified during EICR inspections.
Carry out repairs to consumer units, circuits and bonding.
Carry out minor installation works as required.
Verify and test completed remedial works and provide certification.
Diagnose electrical faults and determine corrective actions.
Rectify electrical defects safely and efficiently.
Provide recommendations for additional work when appropriate.
