Job summary

Carrington West is recruiting a Minerals & Waste Planner with a focus on Environmental Impact Assessment to join a small, supportive team of about 10 professionals. The role offers exposure to minerals, waste and environmental planning within a collaborative office culture.

You will manage planning applications, support EIAs, produce planning statements and reports, liaise with authorities and clients, and contribute from inception to determination in an office-based, 4-days-per-week role.

Qualifications

• Experience in minerals and/or waste planning.
• Strong knowledge of Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA).
• Excellent report writing and communication skills.
• Proactive, collaborative approach to project work.
• MRTPI qualification or working towards chartership desirable.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage planning applications for minerals and waste developments.
• Support and coordinate Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA).
• Produce planning statements and technical reports.
• Liaise with local authorities, stakeholders and consultants.
• Advise clients on planning strategy and environmental considerations.
• Assist with project delivery from inception through to determination.
