Job summary

Matchtech seeks an experienced EHV Commissioning Manager for a Teesside contract role. You will lead from planning to acceptance of the 275 kV cable-system commissioning, coordinating with National Grid, BP, OEMs and other stakeholders.

Responsibilities include overseeing test regimes, data evaluation, and fault investigations while ensuring safety and compliance with standards. Strong TP141 authorisation and utility-licence familiarity preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires TP141 authorisation or equivalent.
• Experience with EHV cable systems at 275 kV and/or 400 kV.
• Understanding of safety rules, PTW, and energisation processes.

Responsibilities

• Act as technical authority for 275 kV commissioning from planning through acceptance.
• Manage commissioning strategy, execution plan and deliverables schedule.
• Attend project and client meetings and represent the company on commissioning panels.
