Job summary

Arcadis is seeking an experienced EHS site advisor for a major data centre project in the Nordics. The role may be based in-country with significant travel to Norway or Finland.

You will drive EHS and security plan implementation, ensure compliance, and lead audits and inspections across the site. Ideal candidates bring extensive construction EHS experience, with exposure to data centres or technology projects and a background in consultancy, contractor, or client-side environments.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience as an EHS advisor on major construction projects.
• Data centre or technology project experience preferred but not essential.
• Experience in consultancy, general contractor or client-side environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide direction and support for implementation of the EHS & Security Plan.
• Verify that project/site EHS procedures protect personnel and the public.
• Hold line management accountable for EHS management system implementation and performance.
• Encourage proactive involvement of all personnel in the EHS program.
• Oversee EHS performance on the project/site.
• Review incident records and ensure timely follow-up actions.
• Investigate incidents with injuries and ensure closure of action items.
• Participate in audits and weekly planned site inspections.
• Monitor Arcadis and contractor EHS performance indicators and reports.
• Conduct performance evaluations including personal EHS involvement.

Role description

We’re looking for an experienced EHS site advisor to join our rapidly growing team. You will play a key role in the delivery of one of our biggest data centre construction projects in the Nordics.

The successful candidate will be based 100% in country or there will be significant travel (11/3 Rotation) to either Norway or Finland

Role accountabilities

• Provide direction and support for implementation of the EHS & Security Plan
• Verify that the project/site-specific EHS procedures protect personnel and the general public.
• Hold line management accountable for EHS Management System implementation and performance.
• Encourage the proactive involvement of all personnel in executing the EHS program.
• Oversee EHS performance on the project/site.
• Review incident records and verify that all follow-up actions are completed in a timely manner.
• Ensure incidents where personal injuries occur are thoroughly and appropriately investigated and ensure closure of subsequent action items.
• Participate in audits and weekly planned inspections of the site and ensure closure of subsequent action items.
• Continuously monitor Arcadis and contractor EHS performance indicators and project / site inspection reports.
• Conduct performance evaluations to include personal EHS involvement and performance.

• Experience working on data centre/technology project experience preferred but not essential
