Job summary

Siemens Energy is seeking a Project Environmental Health and Safety Manager to advise on EHS across bids, proposals, and projects in Scotland and the UK. You will integrate EHS requirements into bid documents, support risk evaluations, and help hand over to execution teams.

The role covers site inspections, drafting Construction Phase Plans, and managing dangerous goods; CDM awareness and incident investigations are essential.

Qualifications

• Hold a Diploma or equivalent in Health & Safety Management; a related Environmental Management qualification is desirable.
• Detailed knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental legislation for large construction projects including offshore/onshore.
• Experience with audits of supplier organisations and supporting standards – ISO45001, ISO14001.
• Experience in developing EHS arrangements for Principal Contractor on projects where CDM regulations apply.
• CDM Awareness, CCNSG Passport, Accident investigation, Fire safety and Safe Systems of Work (SsoW/PTW) are mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Support integration of EHS requirements into bid documents and reflect EHS considerations in bid/contract preparation.
• Assist Project Manager with updating EHS risk evaluations and handover to execution phase.
• Participate in initial site inspections; draft Construction Phase Plan and related plans (Local Emergency Plans, Traffic Management Plans).
• Update and finalize Construction Phase Plan to comply with Client requirements and Siemens Energy EHS Management System.
• Manage dangerous goods activities within the project, ensuring compliance with national and international regulations.
• Compile monthly reports and support investigations through construction, commissioning, and project closure.
