Job Description
The EHS Manager will:
- Implement and monitor statutory safety, fire, and environmental regulations across the site.
- Oversee risk management strategies and support operational teams to achieve zero accidents.
- Conduct inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety standards and RTITB accreditation.
- Develop and revise safety procedures, reporting on performance and recommending improvements.
- Investigate incidents and dangerous occurrences, identifying root causes and corrective actions.
- Deliver training programs, including manual handling and safety passport updates.
- Maintain accurate documentation and report on quality metrics to ensure compliance.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to foster a strong safety culture.
The Successful Applicant
A successful EHS Manager should have:
- Minimum 3 year's experience in a Health & Safety role.
- National NEBOSH Certificate and strong knowledge of EHS management systems.
- A hands‑on and adaptable approach to implementing processes.
- Proven ability as a self‑starter to lead and influence in a fast‑paced operational setting.
- Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and problem‑solving capability.
- Strong communication and relationship‑building skills across all levels.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and warehouse management systems.
- Willingness to travel to other sites within the UK when required.
- A background in Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain, or FMCG/Pharmaceuticals.
- BREEAM accreditation knowledge (desirable).
