Job summary

Lincoln Electric in Port Talbot, United Kingdom, seeks an Environmental Health and Safety professional to lead assessments, ensure regulatory compliance, and support certifications across manufacturing operations. Qualifications

  • Educated / experienced in a scientific / engineering field or industry.
  • Knowledge of environmental and health and safety law and good practice.
  • Coaching/Training experience preferred.
  • Incident Investigation experience preferred.
  • Materials engineering knowledge and skills.
  • Ability to work in organised methodical and efficient way.
  • Experience of working with industry with close relationship with manufacturing department
  • Ability to work on own and prioritise and work on own initiative.
  • Good communication skills at all levels.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review health and safety risk assessments and COSHH procedures.
  • Investigate near misses and accidents.
  • Help implement improved HSE processes.
  • Assess work equipment health and safety and recommend modifications.
  • Maintain business systems to support environmental and HSE certification.
  • Support statutory inspections for environmental conformance and HSE practices.
  • Compile data for Lincoln Electric reports and liaise with stakeholders.
  • Advise on environmental and health and safety matters on site.
  • Monitor environmental processes on site.
  • Coordinate waste management and reduction activities.
  • Perform additional EHS tasks as needed.

Job Responsibilities


  • Generating, reviewing, modifying, writing, risk assessments, Safe Working Procedures and COSSH assessments for health and safety and environmental management purposes

  • Able to carry out investigations following near miss or accident reports.

  • Assist in implementing processes or procedures for improving health and safety.

  • Conduct Health and safety assessments of work equipment and activities including recommendations for modifications.

  • Assist in implementing and maintaining business systems in order to enhance environmental and health and safety certification within the company.

  • Assist with statutory inspections for environmental conformance and health and safety practices

  • Compile and analyse data required for reporting to Lincoln Electric.

  • Liaise with Lincoln Electric for reporting requirements

  • Advise on environmental and health and safety matters.

  • Monitoring environmental processes on site.

  • Coordinating waste management and waste reduction activities.

  • Additional EHS tasks that may be identified.


Job Requirements


  • Educated / experienced in a scientific / engineering field or industry.
