Job summary

A leading real estate service provider in the UK is looking for an EHS Director to support their expanding business. This role involves driving industry-leading health, safety, and environmental standards within major construction projects. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in HSE, hold a CMIOSH certification, and possess strong leadership skills to mentor teams and engage clients. The position is full-time and does not offer remote work options.

Qualifications

  • 10 years experience in HSE in construction or infrastructure.
  • Principal Contractor experience.
  • HSE Management Systems experience OHSAS 18001 ISO 45001.
  • Excellent written communications and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work to strict deadlines and handle conflicting priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Support the PMC Ops team to achieve high EHS performance standards.
  • Manage and mentor the PMC H&S team.
  • Carry out site visits and leadership tours.
  • Support work winning.
  • Create a positive EHS culture within T&T.

Job description

The EHS Director will support an expanding part of the T&T real estate business in the UK delivering PMC contracts. The role will be part of our team delivering a major health construction project UK wide.

This is a genuine opportunity to help shape the landscape of H&S in UK construction.

The role holder will act as the H&S competent person and EHS management system process owner and will be integral to driving and achieving industry leading EHS standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support and enable the PMC Ops team to achieve the highest standards in EHS performance
  • Creating and delivering a positive EHS engagement strategy
  • Manage and mentor the PMC H&S team to ensure that they provide excellent support to the business
  • Carry out site visits and leadership tours
  • Support work winning
  • Help to create a EHS culture within T&T and our supply chain
  • Maintain excellent relationships with key clients
Qualifications
  • 10 years experience in HSE in construction or infrastructure.
  • CMIOSH is preferred.
  • Principal Contractor experience.
  • HSE Management Systems experience OHSAS 18001 ISO 45001.
  • Excellent written communications and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Team player self‑motivated and able to work using his / her own initiative.
  • Excellent organisational skills with a positive can‑do flexible work attitude.
  • Ability to work to strict deadlines and handle conflicting priorities.
  • Strong computer skills including MS Office Excel AutoCAD MS Project Primavera.
