We Do Social Work is seeking an experienced EHCP Plan Writer to join a busy SEND Service team. You will draft and amend legally compliant, person-centred EHCPs, reflecting the needs of children and young people and ensuring timely delivery in line with statutory requirements.

The role requires strong knowledge of SEND legislation, ability to analyse complex reports from educational psychologists, schools and health professionals, and meticulous attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Experience drafting EHCPs or statutory assessments.
• Strong knowledge of SEND legislation and Practice.
• Ability to analyse complex professional reports and translate into clear EHCPs.
• Excellent written communication and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet statutory deadlines.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to work independently.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and case management systems.
• Experience working within SEND/education/health or social care.

Responsabilités

• Draft new EHCPs following statutory assessments.
• Prepare amended EHCPs and amendment notices after annual reviews.
• Analyse reports from educational psychologists, schools, health professionals and social care practitioners.
• Ensure EHCPs comply with SEND legislation and timescales.
• Produce clear, measurable descriptions of needs, outcomes and provision.
• Collaborate with SEND Case Officers, Coordinators and other professionals.
• Maintain accurate case records and documentation.
• Support quality assurance and service improvement.
• Reflect the views and aspirations of children, young people and families in plans.
