Job description
Overview

All applicants must be 18 years old or over. We are appointing an EHCP Admin Assistant to work in the Den within the Family Care Division. The specific working hours and days will be agreed with the successful candidate. The successful candidate must be customer focused, with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities
  • Be the point of access for all children and young people aged 0-25 who are going through the EHCP process, working within established procedures and protocols.
  • Be a point of information for young people who have an EHCP and are going through the review process.
  • Receive EHCP requests, collate reports from services, and forward to the Local Authority to meet deadlines.
  • Accurately update the EHCP database and maintain an accurate electronic database of monthly EHCP figures.
  • S securely send out draft and final reports to all services involved, ensuring statutory duties are maintained.
  • Adhere to data entry and records management requirements to ensure data is recorded accurately onto applicable systems.
Requirements
  • IT skills; GCSE Maths and English grade A-C (or equivalent); relevant office/secretarial experience.
  • Adaptable to meet service needs.
  • Ability to be customer focused with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure with great attention to detail.
Desirable
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Experience in customer care and previous NHS experience.

The main emphasis of this role is to be a point of access for all children and young people aged 0-25 who are going through the EHCP process, working within established procedures and protocols, and to provide information during EHCP reviews.
